Week 1: Penske x UBWA - Importance of Personal Branding Come join UBWA as we host Penske who will talk more about the importance of personal branding and how we can utilize it to our advantage. We will talk about how to identify our skillsets, our strengths and weaknesses and what that means for our “personal brand”. Tuesday September 6th, 7:00-8:00 PM EST Busch Valor Room Week 2: LinkedIn & Resume Workshop Every student at OSU no matter their major will need a resume at least once in their life. If you’re a student of Fisher, your resume will be your best friend. Want to know what a good resume and LinkedIn profile looks like? Join us for the 2nd session of Bootcamp as we talk about what to have and what not to have in both your resume and LinkedIn. Resumes are the first thing a recruiter will see so we aim for a perfect reflection of your skillsets and experience! LinkedIn profiles are extremely important for expanding our networks, keeping in touch with past and current mentors, friends, colleagues, etc. You won’t want to miss this session! Tuesday September 13th, 7:00-8:00 PM EST Raney Bolder Room Week 3: Expand Your Network & Professional Dress Have you heard the word 'networking' one too many times? Do you know what it really means to network or to have a network? Did you know about 85% of jobs are filled through networking? This 3rd session of Bootcamp will take a deep dive into what it means to expand our networks and why it's a key component to fulfilling our career aspirations. If you're networking in person, what do you wear? How we dress is how we present ourselves before we can even speak with another individual. You'll learn all the different types of business attire in this third installment of Bootcamp. Tuesday September 20th, 7:00-8:00 PM EST Busch Valor Room Week 4: Networking Night After learning how to expand your network and professionally dress, our skills will be put to test through Networking Night! Business professionals from the area will be present for the evening’s festivities and hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be available thanks to Penske! The event is located at the Danny Price Stadium Terrace inside the RPAC. You’ll spend the evening improving your networking skills in this stress-free environment meeting business professionals while overlooking a fantastic view of Ohio Stadium AKA The Shoe. Tuesday September 27th, 6:45-8:15 PM EST Danny Price Stadium Terrace (at RPAC) Week 5: Special Guest - Leadership 101 What does it mean to be a leader? How do we become one? What qualities make a a “good” leader, and how do we define “good”? Join us for this motivational speech as we approach the end of Business Bootcamp. Tuesday October 4th, 7:00-8:00 PM EST Curl Hall 2nd floor Week 6: Interview & Career Prep In this final session of our 4th annual Business Bootcamp, we will talk all things interview related and prepare you for our UBWA Career Fair. We will discuss how to answer interview questions, what you should be asking them, how to convey the correct body language when speaking with a recruiter or other business professional, and more!
