Meet UBWA's Advisor, Jen Knox Shanahan
Jen Knox Shanahan leads the Dean's Leadership Academy program and teaches Personal Leadership and Team Effectiveness. She serves on the Executive Board as Programming Co-Chair with the Association of Staff and Faculty Women (ASFW) at Ohio State and supports women's initiatives at Fisher. Jen started at OSU in 2017. Prior to this role, she led a large nonprofit initiative in San Antonio, Texas, called Writers in Communities, which connected professional writers with student groups in juvenile detention centers, migrant children's centers, and domestic violence shelters, among other destinations. Her mission across roles is to empower all people to own their unique stories and find their personal leadership styles. Jen loves to hike, practice yoga, and write fiction in her spare time. She currently lives in Reynoldsburg with her two pups and husband, Chris.
